Meet Geoff Gal, our committed Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) Manager at Coxons Group Australia. With over four years of service at Coxons and more than two decades in underground coal mining, Geoff brings a wealth of expertise and a deeply personal commitment to safety, shaped by firsthand experience with the impacts of workplace incidents.
Since joining us, Geoff has been instrumental in implementing our Zero Harm philosophy and Life-Saving Rules, setting new safety standards and industry benchmarks. He’s led Coxons’ evolution from a team of 20 to nearly 100 employees, adapting and enhancing safety protocols to match our growth. Initiatives like the monthly Hyper Focus and Standard Operating Procedures keep safety and quality at the forefront of our operations.
Under Geoff’s leadership, we’ve strengthened our dedication to continuous training, empowering our team to grow in their careers while prioritising safe practices. Guided by Coxons’ core vision and values, Geoff emphasises that “there’s nothing more important for any of our workshops than our people.” His unwavering focus ensures that every team member returns home safely to their families.
