In this month’s Employee Spotlight, we’re excited to present a team member from our Rockhampton workshop – Brendon Hathaway, who is our Leading Hand.
Brendon is a Fitter and Turner by trade. He started with us just under a year ago after being referred by a friend who was already working at Coxons and spoke to the family vibe of the company. Brendon’s journey with us has already seen him progress from the wash bay to the assembly bay, and now into the Leading Hand position.
As a Leading Hand, Brendon’s role is to oversee the workshop, help production run smoothly and ensure that his teammates are working safely, so they can return home safely.
He has been involved in different projects over his time so far and has developed new procedures that help the branch work more efficiently, including a pressure testing prototype. When asked what he’s most proud of, Brendon said, “I’m very proud of keeping everyone safe in the branch.”
Brendon is a great example of how we support our teams to live out our values and support our people to realise their potential through learning opportunities, that progress into career advancement.
