Reduced shutdown time for BHP
What We Did
Coxons delivered exchange 797F nosecones for changeouts at many BHP sites. By partnering with Coxons, BHP was able to reduce shutdown time by two days. This job also resulted in an overall cost saving of 3.4 million for BHP.
Custom nosecone builds for BHP
What We Did
Coxons supplied multiple exchange 793F nosecones to BHP’s Goonyella mine. Nosecone modules were built to BHP’s specifications so they could easily standardise their haul trucks in line with the latest Caterpillar updates and site specific modifications. The project was a huge success and achieved minimal equipment downtime for BHP.
A 3-day nosecone overhaul for Glencore
What We Did
Coxons received an urgent request from Glencore to overhaul a Caterpillar D11T nosecone. The module was overhauled in just 3 days thanks to our extended operating hours of 6am to midnight. Our workshop utilised exchange components including a radiator, aftercoolers, fan, fan motor, dual tilt valve, fan manifold, and yokes. This service redirected labour onsite and shortened the shutdown duration.
Overhauling a fleet of trucks for Thiess
What We Did
Coxons used their parts exchange system to overhaul a fleet of 793F trucks for Thiess. With a maintenance plan in place, exchange radiators were overhauled and supplied to their Bowen Basin site in 3-week intervals. This maintenance service achieved minimal equipment downtime for Thiess.
Radiator overhauls for a Komatsu truck fleet
What We Did
Coxons overhauled a Komatsu 830E fleet of 20 trucks on a rolling basis as part of module change-outs being performed by Komatsu. All overhauls were performed at a fixed price with low tube replacement and always completed well within required timeframes for Komatsu.
Dozer nosecone exchange for BHP
What We Did
Coxons are suppling exchange D10T & D11T nosecones on an ongoing basis for most BHP sites. By partnering with Coxons, BHP have been able to streamline their maintenance strategy, shorten shutdown durations and improve onsite safety, all whilst saving costs.
Rooftop module overhauls for UGL
What We Did
Coxons overhauled a fleet of railcar diesel multiple unit cooling modules for UGL. The project was performed on a rolling basis and successfully completed within required timeframes.
Emergency breakdown repairs
A nosecone delivered within 12 hours for BHP
What We Did
A BHP Billiton site had an emergency breakdown of a Caterpillar D11T dozer. Coxons were able to supply a D11T nosecone to the site within 12 hours. The dozer resumed operation with minimal downtime. Thanks to the use of our nosecone exchange system, the module was ready for shipment.
A weekend nosecone delivery for Peabody Energy
What We Did
Coxons received an urgent request for a Caterpillar 793D radiator from Peabody Energy’s mine in the Hunter Valley region. Using our parts exchange system, we were able to arrange express freight on the weekend so that our client was operating again as soon as possible.
Emergency radiator overhaul for BHP Billiton
What We Did
A BHP Billiton site had an emergency breakdown due to a Caterpillar 795F radiator failing. The radiator was overhauled and returned to their site within 2 days, well below the expected overhaul time. This was possible due to our extended workshop operating hours of 6am to midnight.
Same day radiator delivery for Downer
What We Did
Coxons received an urgent request from a Downer site in the Bowen Basin. Their Caterpillar 789C radiator had sustained significant fan damage. A replacement radiator was sent to site immediately for same day delivery using our parts exchange system.
Emergency locomotive cooling module overhaul for Progress Rail
What We Did
Coxons were required to urgently overhaul a cooling module for a locomotive that was out of operation. Using our strong relationship with Adrad we were able to fast track the manufacture of replacement cores required for the overhaul, enabling completion in a shorten than expected timeframe.
